How a repair works, start to finish
There is no drop-box and no shipping label. You hand the piece to the person who will fix it.

Visit us at 409 Main Street in Southbridge during store hours, or schedule ahead of time for unhurried time with the jeweler. Jewelry from any retailer is welcome.

What a repair costs
The cost of a repair depends on the metal, the stones involved and the work required — a re-tipped prong on a 14k band is a different job from rebuilding a platinum head around a fragile emerald. That is why we quote each repair after seeing it in person rather than over the phone, and why the quote you get is the price you pay.

Before you visit
A few things worth knowing
Jewelry from any retailer is welcome
You do not need to have purchased your piece from Morin Jewelers for us to work on it. We regularly repair jewelry bought elsewhere, ordered online, or inherited from family.
Loose stones are worth addressing early
A prong that is starting to wear is far easier — and less costly — to fix than replacing a stone that has already been lost. If a stone feels like it is shifting, or clicks when you tap the ring against your tooth, it is worth having it looked at.
Antique and vintage pieces need extra care
Older jewelry, particularly filigree and estate pieces, can require a different approach than modern jewelry to preserve its original detail. We evaluate these individually and will tell you honestly what can and cannot be done.
Bring whatever paperwork you have
A grading report, a previous appraisal or the original receipt helps — especially for appraisals and insurance — but their absence does not stop anything. The piece itself is the only requirement.
